In June, I was an invited speaker for the University of Oxford's Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism Media Research Seminar Series.
My talked was entitled, 'Contesting Credibility: Human Rights Reporting in Mexico.' It was during this research in Mexico that I became interested in human rights NGOs' use of digital ICTs for bypassing the mainstream media, which were the subject of my research, and disseminating their messages direct-to-citizens.
